“It’s difficult to qualify because everyone is so unique,” O’Connor said. <\/p>\n
But they’ve got some idea of what they want. <\/p>\n
The casting firm’s online ad says: “Are you buff, hot, sexy, crazy, fun, outgoing, love to make things exciting and up for an adventure? If so, then we want you, your friends, your total awesomeness.” <\/p>\n
“Jersey Shore” is an MTV reality show that follows the lives of eight housemates spending the summer in a New Jersey beach town. <\/p>\n
But O’Connor was mum about the details of the South Side-based show she’s casting because her firm simply is hired to look for the next reality star – not produce the show. <\/p>\n
She said there’s no guaranteed way to catch a casting director’s eye, though she did have one tip for South Siders interested in becoming famous. <\/p>\n
“They have to represent who they really are,” O’Connor said. <\/p>\n
The casting call is open to men and women ages 19 to 27 who live on Chicago’s South Side and in neighboring suburbs. <\/p>\n
To apply, e-mail three recent photos and “a brief description of your awesomeness and why you would be a great reality star” to chicago@oconnorcasting.tv. <\/p>\n
