{"id":380286,"date":"2010-03-02T13:30:38","date_gmt":"2010-03-02T18:30:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/firedoglake.com\/?p=70073"},"modified":"2010-03-02T13:30:38","modified_gmt":"2010-03-02T18:30:38","slug":"texas-democrats-don%e2%80%99t-forget-to-vote-today-%e2%80%94-for-hutchison","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/380286","title":{"rendered":"Texas Democrats, Don\u2019t Forget to Vote Today \u2014 for Hutchison"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a rel=\"attachment wp-att-70085\" href=\"http:\/\/firedoglake.com\/2010\/03\/02\/texas-democrats-dont-forget-to-vote-today-for-hutchison\/3922931088_d926902eb3\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-70085\" title=\"3922931088_d926902eb3\" src=\"http:\/\/static1.firedoglake.com\/1\/files\/2010\/03\/3922931088_d926902eb3-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a>A couple weeks ago, I made the case that <a href=\"http:\/\/firedoglake.com\/2010\/02\/16\/attention-texas-democrats-progressives-and-non-secessionists-its-time-to-vote-hutchison-in-the-gop-primary\/\">Texas Democrats should vote Hutchison<\/a> in today&#8217;s Republican gubernatorial primary, and the latest Rasmussen poll <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rasmussenreports.com\/public_content\/politics\/elections2\/election_2010\/election_2010_governor_elections\/texas\/election_2010_texas_republican_primary_for_governor\">offers more ammunition for that strategy. <\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class='wbq'>\n<p>A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of likely Republican Primary voters finds <strong>Perry leading Senate Kay Bailey Hutchison 48% to 27%<\/strong>, with Tea Party activist Debra Medina earning 16% of the vote. Nine percent (9%) of Texas GOP voters remain undecided.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Again, we want Perry to finish under 50% today, triggering an automatic runoff between him and (presumably) Hutchison.
