\n1.The rotation angle is proportionate to the number of input pulses.
\n2.The rotation speed is proportionate to the frequency of input pulse signals.
\n3.Angle errors are minimum and furthermore do not accumulate.
\n4.Quick responsiveness to start-stop and rotation-inversion motions.
\n5.Simple control system by open-loop control.
\n6.The self-holding function enables the stepping motor to hold its stop position.
\n7.Unlike the DC motor brush, the stepping motor has no mechanical abrasion or need of maintenance.<\/p>\n
(Types)
\n1.VR (Variable Reluctance) Type (Not available from Janome)
\nHas a gear shaped rotor made from mild steel. Rotates by magnetic force generated from coils around the stator. (15-degree step angle type is common.) <\/p>\n
2.PM (Permanent Magnet) Type (Not available from Janome)
\nA permanent magnet is used for the rotor. Rotates by magnetic force generated from the stator, made from a repelling magnet. (7.5-, 15-, 45-, and 90-degree step angle types are common.) The PM type motor also has non-exciting holding torque. <\/p>\n
3.HB (Hybrid Permanent Magnet) Type (1.8- and 3.6-degree step angle types are available from Janome.)
\nHas both VR and PM type functions. There are many teeth around the outside of the rotor and the inside of the stator. A permanent magnet used for a part of the rotor ensures high accuracy and high torque.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
