Narrows Weekly Total Viewing and Demo Gaps with NBC<\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

For the week of February 22nd, \u201cABC World News with Diane Sawyer\u201d averaged 8.13 million Total Viewers and a 1.9\/7 among Adults 25-54 according to Nielsen Media Research. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

During the second week of the Winter Olympics, \u201cWorld News\u201d was the only program to display growth among both Total Viewers (+110,000) and Adults 25-54 (+110,000) compared to the first week of the games.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWorld News\u201d closed the weekly demo and Total Viewing gaps with \u201cNBC Nightly News\u201d by 15% and 3% respectively. In addition, \u201cWorld News\u201d increased its weekly advantage over \u201cCBS Evening News\u201d among Adults 25-54 by 50% (+120,000).<\/span><\/p>\n

In Diane Sawyer\u2019s first ten weeks as anchor, \u201cWorld News\u201d has averaged 8,600,000 Total Viewers and 2,490,000 Adults 25-54.  That is up 4% (+330,000) above World News\u2019 season-to-date average among Total Viewers and up 5% (+120,000) in the demo.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Last Week "World News" featured coverage of the Toyota Congressional hearings with reporting from ABC Chief Investigative Correspondent Brian Ross. \u201cWorld News\u201d also covered the President\u2019s Health Care Summit and featured highlights from the 2010 Olympic Winter Games with David Muir reporting from Vancouver.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
