WASHINGT0N–On Sunday, President Obama was told by his doctor after his annual physical to watch his cholestrol. On Tuesday, in Savannah, Ga. Obama stopped at a restaurant for a full plate of Southern cooking. He joked to the press, “I don’t want any
\nlectures about my cholesterol. Don’t tell Michelle”.<\/p>\n

The menu, according to the pool report: fried chicken, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, macaroni and cheese, collard greens, cream corn, biscuits, corn bread, macaroni salad, turnips, green beans, BBQ pulled pork, blueberry pudding and banana pudding. <\/p>\n

After another motorcade on two cleared highways and a few surface streets dotted
\nwith awestruck onlookers, POTUS made an unscheduled stop at 1:15 PM in lovely
\ndowntown colonial Savannah: brick townhouses, cobbled streets and iron
\nbalconies. <\/p>\n

Head of motorcade parked in a back alley as POTUS enjoyed the
\nSouthern cuisine of “Mrs Wilkes’ Dining Room”. Press packed the house as the
\npresident mingled with locals and shook hands
\n.
\nHe then sat at a table with 8 patrons and Savannah mayor Otis Johnson, and asked
\nfor a “sweet tea”.<\/p>\n

Holding a plate of Southern food, POTUS joked to the press: “I don’t want any
\nlectures about my cholesterol. Don’t tell Michelle”. That of course stems from
\nthe results of his physical last Sunday.<\/p>\n

The set menu here includes (brace): fried chicken, mashed potatoes, sweet
