Marine Safety Consultant (based in Romsey)<\/p>\n

We are currently looking to recruit an additional Marine Safety Consultant to compliment our current team and provide project and technical support to key accounts in offshore renewable technologies.<\/p>\n
This role focuses on delivery of marine safety support and technical advice to offshore developers, including: site design, vessel acquisition, vessel inspection, and emergency response, documentation and planning.<\/p>\n
Candidates for this role need to be able to show a good track record within the marine industry and an understanding of offshore renewable energy developments, but candidates who feel that they can bring transferable knowledge & experience from other sectors could also apply.<\/p>\n
Candidates would ideally have proven marine expertise with at least 2 years vessel handling or operational experience and an appreciation of offshore developments.<\/p>\n
Working directly with clients and partners in a consultancy environment, candidates for these roles should be both excellent communicators and team players.<\/p>\n
Key attributes:<\/p>\n
Essential:<\/p>\n
Degree in a maritime related subject, or equivalent professional experience (time served at sea)
\nProven knowledge of maritime safety and risk management issues
\nAt least 3 years experience in a ship operation environment such as a Cadetship, or Large Yacht Experience or Fishing Vessel Operations
\nExcellent report writing skills and communication skills<\/p>\n

Experience of working in a consultancy environment
\nExperience of navigation risk assessments
\nExperience in surveying or inspecting vessels
