I felt like putting on an evening do\u00a0purely for inspiration&#8217;s sake &#8211; it&#8217;s spring but\u00a0that bounce in my step alludes me.\u00a0I felt like there were a lot of people like me who needed a\u00a0dash of invigoration, but also a\u00a0delicious bit of creative fun.<\/p>\n<p>So,\u00a0I had a little chat to the <a href=\"http:\/\/oxfamdalston.wordpress.com\/\">fabulous Kevin and Steve at the\u00a0Dalston Oxfam Shop<\/a>\u00a0(yes, the very one\u00a0that hosted that legendary Fat Boy Slim gig), as well as the\u00a0immense musician, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/theobard\">Theo Bard,<\/a> and a few other imaginative people and together we are bringing the Climate Pik N Mix to East London. There is a bit of this and a bit of that, something to give everyone\u00a0a tasty, sweet,\u00a0thing to chew on. The climate equivalent\u00a0of a cola bottle.<\/p>\n<p>So, here are some of the\u00a0morsels on offer&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Make<br \/>\n<\/strong>Get crafty and activistity with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.craftivist-collective.com\/page2.htm\">Craftivism Collective<\/a>, a space for you to create with others.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Swap<br \/>\n<\/strong>For the first time ever the Dalston Oxfam Shop will host a swap spot. Bring an item of clothing and exchange it for something new (to you!)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Listen<\/strong><br \/>\nThere will be live music from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myspace.com\/theobard\">Theo Bard <\/a>whose lyrics will make you\u00a0a little bit joyful and a little bit\u00a0inspired.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Connect<br \/>\n<\/strong>Mingle and meet\u00a0with other locals over Fair Trade wine and cheese (ooh yeah, that&#8217;s what I&#8217;m talking about).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ask<br \/>\n<\/strong>Our special guest, Shakar Abrab, a climate change officer from Pakistan\u00a0will be on hand to discuss climate change, the impacts and response from his country.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Watch<br \/>\n<\/strong>Our film stations wil be screening short films from around the world that will make you think and energise you.<\/p>\n<p>So if there are any Eastenders reading this,\u00a0grab your stripey paper bag and come down to our Pik N Mix.
