{"id":388129,"date":"2010-03-04T09:54:08","date_gmt":"2010-03-04T14:54:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.szone.us\/f24\/president-obama-signs-district-columbia-disaster-declaration-40323\/"},"modified":"2010-03-04T09:54:08","modified_gmt":"2010-03-04T14:54:08","slug":"president-obama-signs-district-of-columbia-disaster-declaration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/388129","title":{"rendered":"President Obama Signs District of Columbia Disaster Declaration"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>03.03.10 06:58 PM<\/p>\n<p>The President today declared a major disaster exists in the District of Columbia and ordered Federal aid to supplement the District&amp;rsquo;s recovery efforts in the area struck by a severe winter storm and snowstorm during the period of December 18-20, 2009.<\/p>\n<p>Federal funding is available to the District of Columbia and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work and the repair or replacement of facilities damaged by the severe winter storm and snowstorm.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, assistance is available to the District of Columbia on a cost-sharing basis for emergency. protective measures, including snow assistance, for a continuous 48-hour period during or proximate to the incident period.<\/p>\n<p>Federal funding is also available on a cost-sharing basis for hazard mitigation measures for the District of Columbia.<\/p>\n<p>W.
