Electrical Engineer, Power System Design<\/p>\n
Our client are an electrical engineering consultancy formed by a number of experienced engineers who had previously worked within electrical utilities or major engineering consultancies in the power engineering sector. They are extremely busy and growing steadily, and offer excellent opportunities for progression.<\/p>\n
Our client adds value to a project by combining a sound base of traditional engineering skills with a strong understanding of the competitive and economic pressures existing in today’s environment. They offer a full range of consultancy and project management services from scheme feasibility through to project implementation.<\/p>\n
They are currently looking to recruit for candidates with experience in the Power\/Utilities industry, and they are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Engineer with Power system design experience. Candidates will have a minimum of 4-5 years relevant work experience and must be able to work on their own initiative.<\/p>\n
Requirements: You will have suitable experience in the design, construction and development of plant and equipment at voltage levels up to and including 400kV and an up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and practices.<\/p>\n
Your responsibilities would include the following:
\n• Assessment of engineering feasibility and construction of power network projects
\n• Development of design proposals into detailed schemes
\n• Budget costing and appraisal of technical submissions
\n• Provision and development of programmes and stage-by-stage diagrams
\n• Development of system contingency requirements<\/p>\n
\nCandidates should possess a relevant qualification, preferably a university degree and\/or qualification leading to chartered engineer status and membership of the IET.<\/p>\n
You should also possess good inter-personal, written and verbal communication skills.<\/p>\n
