Michigan native Sarah Killen is the world’s newest Internet sensation — thanks to a little help from Twitter and out-of-work comic Conan O’Brien.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Sarah, who Tweets under the handle @LovelyButton, quickly became a Twitter Trending Topic and picked up thousands of followers last week after Twitter newcomer O’Brien randomly selected her to be his first friend on the popular social networking site. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve decided to follow someone at random. She likes peanut butter and gummy dinosaurs. Sarah Killen, your life is about to change,\u201d<\/em> Conan Tweeted on Friday.<\/p>\n

Conan Tweeted about her again the next day, writing, \u201cSarah likes Twizzlers and craves cantaloupe. I like Raisinets, but melon feels creepy in my mouth. Twitter pals 4 eva! :)\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

As of Saturday afternoon, Sarah had 12,975 followers — 12,972 more than she had just two days before. <\/p>\n

“I went on to my MySpace and there was a message asking basically if they did want to pick me, if they could, for permission. I didn’t take it seriously until I saw my name on his Twitter. And then I was like, ‘Oh, my god.’ I ran out to the work garage and started telling everybody,”<\/em> Sarah told MTV News<\/a> this weekend.<\/p>\n

Conan created a frenzy when he joined the popular micro-blogging website a few weeks ago and quickly become one of the Web’s most popular Tweeters, attracting more than half a million followers.<\/p>\n
