What is irksome (at least to me) is that the new launch complex is visible in Google Earth images dating back a year ago. This allows some interesting estimates for when the Simorgh project started, how much importance Iran assigns it, and when the new rocket might be launched (a lot sooner than some of us suspected). Here are two Google Earth images dating from 1 March <strike>20010<\/strike> 2009 (typo!) and 9 October 2009. Nothing is visible at the site on 25 February 2005 so all this work is relatively recently.
