The two have a long standing feud, which ended in a lawsuit (it was later settled out of court). Burkett claims that Williams stole her ideas, is not speaking to her and has refused to pass along any awards ceremony invites. She also claims that Williams rushed to the stage to accept the award in order to beat her out &#8211; she also says that Williams&#8217; 87-year-old mother <em>blocked her with a cane<\/em> to slow her down from reaching the stage.<\/p>\n<p>On the flip side, Williams claims that Burkett removed herself from the project at some point and says that Burkett is still very bitter. He added that the academy chose him to accept the award being as he owns the film. He says he was &#8220;in shock&#8221; at being &#8220;ambushed&#8221; by her.<\/p>\n<p>How Kanye of you Ms. Burkett!<\/p>\n<p>Yes, she definitely seems bitter! Not a very classy thing to do. So really, no matter who is the jerk here, she ends up looking like the ass.
