Dennis Krafft of Frankenmuth, Mich., got a big — and we mean big<\/em> — birthday surprise when he turned 60 on Jan. 5. Al Weiss, a friend of Krafft’s, had unexpectedly found himself in temporary possession of a giant foam pig when his was the winning bid on a "mystery box" at a charity fundraising event.<\/p>\n Apparently "mystery" equaled "one-ton Styrofoam pig" to the event’s organizers, and suddenly Weiss had a pig on his hands. And Krafft had a big birthday coming up. One thing led to another, and soon Krafft’s frontyard had a festive new lawn ornament. <\/p>\n Krafft told the Saginaw News<\/a> that he was "absolutely blown away" by the discovery of the big pig, which he described as having "a beautifully spiraled tail." Next year we hope the prop will find its way to a National Pig Day<\/a> celebration!<\/p>\n The photo above, of course, is glorious in its own right.
