\u201cWorld News\u201d Increases Weekly Total Viewing & Demo Advantages Over CBS<\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWorld News\u201d Posts Best Sweeps Number Since November 2008<\/o:p><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

For the week of March 1st, \u201cABC World News with Diane Sawyer\u201d averaged 7.91 million Total Viewers and a 1.9\/7 among Adults 25-54 according to Nielsen Media Research. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Compared to the previous week, \u201cWorld News\u201d closed the gap with \u201cNBC Nightly News\u201d among Total Viewers by 53% and among Adults 25-54 by 57%. This marks the smallest weekly gaps between ABC and NBC in two months. In addition, year-to-year \u201cWorld News\u201d cut into Nightly\u2019s lead among Adult 25-54 by 9%. <\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Compared to the previous week, World News increased its Total Viewing advantage over \u201cCBS Evening News\u201d by 6% (+100,000) and its demo advantage by 6% (+20,000).  Year-to-year, \u201cWorld News\u201d total viewing lead over CBS was 4% larger.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

For the February 2010 sweep, \u201cWorld News\u201d posted its best delivery among Total Viewers (8,460,000) and Adults 25-54 (2,480,000) for a sweep since November 2008.<\/span><\/p>\n
