All’s well that ends well for one staff shagger: Robert Halderman, the former 48 Hours<\/em> producer who attempted to extort $2 million from David Letterman, plansplead guilty<\/a> in a Manhattan courtroom this afternoon. <\/span><\/p>\n Halderman was arrested in connection with the scheme last October. He is expected to be sentenced to six months in jail, 1,000 hours of community service, and 4 1\/2 years probation for threatening to leak news of the Late Show<\/em> host’s affairs with several staffers — including Letterman’s one time assistant Stephanie Birkett, Halderman’s former live-in girlfriend. <\/p>\n The case spurred the TV icon to tell viewers he’d had sex with women on his staff for years.
