{"id":408158,"date":"2010-03-09T14:51:47","date_gmt":"2010-03-09T19:51:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.szone.us\/f80\/teens-shot-while-riding-bikes-40582\/"},"modified":"2010-03-09T14:51:47","modified_gmt":"2010-03-09T19:51:47","slug":"teens-shot-while-riding-bikes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/408158","title":{"rendered":"Teens Shot While Riding Bikes"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>03.09.10 11:12 AM<br \/>\n<i><b>Los Angeles:<\/b><\/i>&#0160; LAPD detectives are asking for the public\u0092s help in finding the person(s) responsible for the shooting death of a 15-year-old Pacoima resident.<\/p>\n<p>On March 8, 2010 at around 6:44 p.m., officers from the Foothill Division responded to a radio call of an \u0093Ambulance Shooting\u0094 on the 11200 block of Dronefield Avenue in Pacoima.&#0160; When officers arrived they found two male juveniles suffering from gunshot wounds.&#0160; The victims were 15 and 16-years-old, their names are being withheld.&#0160; Both victims were transported to a local hospital where the 15-year-old died from his wounds.&#0160; The 16-year-old was treated and remains hospitalized in stable condition.&#0160; <\/p>\n<p>A subsequent investigation determined that the victims were riding bicycles on Dronefield Avenue when a black vehicle, unknown make or model approached. An unknown male Hispanic suspect in the vehicle fired several rounds striking the victims multiple times.&#0160; This case is believed to be gang related, but neither victim has apparent gang ties.&#0160; There is no additional suspect information and the weapon is still outstanding. <\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information about this crime is urged to call LAPD\u0092s Foothill Homicide Detectives Gahry or Martinez at 818-834-3115.&#0160; During non-business hours or on weekends, calls should be directed to 1-877-LAPD-24-7.&#0160; Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477).&#0160; Tipsters may also contact Crimestoppers by texting to phone number 274637 (C-R-I-M-E-S on most keypads) with a cell phone.
