A witness to the shooting in front of the Pentagon\u00a0says he\u00a0is still reeling from being taken in by police that day.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was thinking I was going to die,\u201d Dan Namisi told NBC4. \u201cI am very traumatized with this whole experience.\u201d<\/p>\n

Namisi was on his way home to Virginia when\u00a0John Patrick Bedell opened fire at the entrance to the Pentagon Thursday.\u00a0When it was over, police said Bedell was the lone gunman who injured two police officers before\u00a0being\u00a0fatally shot.<\/p>\n

But\u00a0soon after Namisi heard the shots, he found himself in handcuffs.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u00a0heard a \u2018pop! pop!\u2019 so I ducked down to the ground,\u201d he recalled. \u201cThey gave commands to lay down flat and then they handcuffed me. And I was puzzled.\u00a0Why are they handcuffing me?\u201d<\/p>\n

Police did not tell Namisi, who was\u00a0trying to get to his home in Burke,\u00a0why he was in handcuffs \u2014 or why it took three hours for him to be released.<\/p>\n
