By Activision&#8217;s own internal estimate, the first 24 hours of availability in the US, Canada and UK saw 4.7 million copies sold and generated approximately $310 million of revenue. As for the rest of the world, a good estimate is proving itself rather hard to come by, but <a href=\"http:\/\/www.joystiq.com\/2009\/11\/11\/analyst-estimates-seven-million-day-one-sales-of-modern-warfare\/\">Joystiq believes<\/a> we&#8217;re looking at another 2.7m copies on the first day.
