The selected independent power producers will sell power to SEC under long-term power purchase agreements.<\/p>\n<p>SunPower did not provide financial details on the size of the contract but it&#8217;s estimated that just the first half of the project <a href=\"http:\/\/greenenergyreporter.com\/2009\/06\/first-solar-in-the-lead-for-billion-dollar-california-solar-project\/\" >will cost about $875 million<\/a> to develop.<\/p>\n<p>SCE&#8217;s selection proved GER wrong.
