{"id":415842,"date":"2010-03-11T10:46:24","date_gmt":"2010-03-11T15:46:24","guid":{"rendered":"tag:www.vegan-food.net:\/\/1c6b1dd5e83ee55537dbca38fb8aaab2"},"modified":"2010-03-11T10:46:24","modified_gmt":"2010-03-11T15:46:24","slug":"sweet-and-hot-sesame-nori-strips-vegetables-seaweed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/415842","title":{"rendered":"Sweet and Hot Sesame Nori Strips( Vegetables &#8211; Seaweed )"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Daily Random Recipe<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul><UL><\/p>\n<li>1\/4 cup brown rice syrup\n<li>1\/4 cup oil\n<li>Pinch of cayenne pepper\n<li>1\/2 cup sesame seeds\n<li>3 nori sheets\n<li>Salt<br \/>\n<\/UL><\/ul>\n<p \/><strong>METHOD:<\/strong><br \/>Preheat oven to 180C\/350F. <\/p>\n<p>\nWhisk together the rice syrup and oil in a small bowl then stir in the cayenne. <\/p>\n<p>\nPlace the sesame seeds in a small bowl, with water to cover. Swish to rinse<br \/>\nand pour off any floaters. Drain the seeds in a strainer, then transfer to a<br \/>\ndry skillet and toast until fragrant. <\/p>\n<p>\nTear each nori sheet into three strips. Use a pastry brush to paint each strip<br \/>\nwith a thick coat of the syrup mixture. Sprinkle liberally with toasted sesame<br \/>\nseeds and sprinkle liberally with salt. <\/p>\n<p>\nPlace the nori strips on a parchment covered baking sheet and bake for 10<br \/>\nminutes to allow the coating to set, then turn the strips over and paint the other<br \/>\nsides with the syrup mixture. Sprinkle as before with sesame seeds and salt. Return<br \/>\nto the oven for 10 minutes, then set aside for 20 minutes to crisp.
