No news has not been good news in Paul&#8217;s<br \/>\ncase, so it&#8217;s definitely a positive, even if he remains on an indefinite<br \/>\n timetable. He missed his 20th consecutive game Friday and a look at <a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/teams\/nor\/schedule\">the Hornets&#8217;<br \/>\nschedule<\/a> shows two sets of back-to-backs (on the road) over the next<br \/>\n six days, which doesn&#8217;t leave much time for Paul to fit in the &quot;with<br \/>\nteammates&quot; portion of this latest step in his rehabilitation.<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"remaining-content\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>His<br \/>\nowners shouldn&#8217;t anticipate his returning the active roster before that<br \/>\nstring of games end, and that also means that <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/4626\/\">Darren Collison<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/4626\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.4626\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> should be<br \/>\nhuge during at least the first week of the h2h playoffs. Conspiracy<br \/>\ntheorists may just see this as just another carrot by the Hornets to<br \/>\nkeep the fans interested, as they are in a hopeless position in terms of the playoffs, but I&#8217;m still not convinced that is the case.<br \/>\nThe Hornets&#8217; upcoming off days (Saturday, Tuesday, Friday, next Sunday)<br \/>\nshould be when we find out how much progress Paul is making, or if he has<br \/>\n any setbacks. \n<\/p>\n<p><strong>&bull;<\/strong> <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/4291\/\">Julian Wright&#8217;s<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/4291\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.4291\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> Friday production (37 minutes, 13 points, 8<br \/>\nboards, 4 assists, 1 turnover, 5 steals) represents a best-case scenario<br \/>\n for his line while <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3119\/\">Peja Stojakovic<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3119\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.3119\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> sits for another 10 days or so, but<br \/>\nthe talent to deliver some defensive stats is definitely there. The fact<br \/>\n that he&#8217;s seen 37 minutes in back-to-back games at least illustrates<br \/>\nthat he&#8217;s going to get plenty of run in the interim. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" align=\"left\" border=\"0\" hspace=\"8\" src=\"http:\/\/a323.yahoofs.com\/ymg\/ept_sports_fantasy_experts__25\/ept_sports_fantasy_experts-267319370-1268472279.jpg?ymX3O0CD_RraoLI6\" \/><strong>&bull;<\/strong> <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3333\/\">Jason Terry<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3333\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.3333\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> returned to practice with the Mavs Friday, wearing a mask in the wake of his March 5 facial surgery. Outlaw was effective (38 minutes, 16 points, 4 threes, 1 steal, 1 block) and certainly has value with starters&#8217; minutes, but his playing time is obviously directly tied to Gordon&#8217;s availability. <\/p>\n<p><strong>&bull;<\/strong> <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/4387\/\">Derrick Rose<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/4387\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.4387\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> missed the Bulls&#8217; game on Friday because of a<br \/>\nsprained left wrist, and he&#8217;s currently listed as day-to-day. An MRI of<br \/>\nthe wrist showed <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.suntimes.com\/bulls\/2010\/03\/rose_out_tonight_vs_miami.html\">no<br \/>\n fracture or ligament damage<\/a> and the hope is that he&#8217;ll be back in<br \/>\nthe lineup for the Bulls&#8217; next game Tuesday at Memphis. <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3660\/\">Jannero Pargo<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3660\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.3660\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> started in Rose&#8217;s place (37 minutes, 20 points, 2 threes, 1 steal) &#8230; <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/4621\/\">James Johnson<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/4621\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.4621\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> had another productive game in <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3824\/\">Luol Deng&#8217;s<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3824\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.3824\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> stead, going for 20 points, two threes, six boards and two blocks in 43 minutes. Q-Rich is suddenly consistent from a relative perspective in that he only went two games without reaching double figures.
