This week brings some newcomers to TV including the long awaited \u201cThe Pacific\u201d on HBO, \u201cSons of Tucson\u201d on Fox, the NCAA Basketball Tournament and the return from hiatus for FlashForward.  Each week GeekTonic covers the TV scene with a complete listing of premieres, finales and specials for the week and this is a week with many premieres and a few gems. <\/p>\n

Ultimate Recipe Showdown<\/strong> (6pm on Food Network \u2013 Available in HD) \u2013 Season 3 premier<\/p>\n

Minute to Win It<\/strong> (7pm on NBC) \u2013 A new gameshow on NBC hosted by Guy Fieri.  Competitors race through 60-second games that pay a $1 million prize. <\/p>\n

Sonny With a Chance<\/strong> (7pm on Disney) \u2013 Season 2 premiere<\/p>\n

Ultimate Power Builders<\/strong> (8pm on Planet Green \u2013 Available in HD) \u2013 Season 1 finale<\/p>\n

Sons of Tucson<\/strong> (9:30pm on Fox \u2013 Available in HD) \u2013 Series premiere for the new fox comedy.  The plot is this:  The Gunderson brothers hire a man (Tyler Labine) to pose as their father while their real dad is in prison.<\/p>\n

The Celebrity Apprentice<\/strong> (8pm on NBC \u2013 Available in HD) \u2013 Season 9 begins with contestants Bill Goldberg, Curtis Stone, Bret Michaels, Carol Leifer, Sharon Osborne, Summer Sanders, Selita Ebanks, Darryl Strawberry, Holly Robinson Peete, Maria Kanellis, Michael Johnson, Rod Blagojevich, Cyndi Lauper and Sinbad.  As we\u2019ve seen many times before, the realityTV show is a popular way for has-beens or never-been stars to get attention again.<\/p>\n

Hannah Montana<\/strong> (8:30pm on Disney) \u2013 Series finale<\/p>\n

The Pacific<\/strong> (9pm on HBO \u2013 Available in HD) \u2013 The highly anticipated, 10-part WWII miniseries finally arrives on HBO.  Think of this as the \u201cPacific\u201d version of Band of Brothers.  This is THE reason I subscribed to HBO recently and based on what I saw of \u201cThe Making of the Pacific\u201d it shouldn\u2019t disappoint.<\/p>\n

America\u2019s Worst Driver<\/strong> (9pm on Travel Channel \u2013 Available in HD) \u2013 Season premiere of the show that searches for America\u2019s worst driver.  That\u2019s seriously the concept of this show.<\/p>\n

Antonio Treatment<\/strong> (9pm on HGTV) \u2013 New series<\/p>\n

Fatal Attraction<\/strong> (9pm on Animal Planet) \u2013 3-part mini-series that looks at people who want to be around dangerous animals.<\/p>\n

Jessica Simpson\u2019s The Price of Beauty<\/strong> (8pm on VH1) \u2013 Series premiere where we hear style tips.<\/p>\n

Home Rules <\/strong>(9pm on HGTV \u2013 Available in HD) \u2013 New series where life coach and former WNBA player Fran Harris explores why a frazzled family is struggling to find harmony at home<\/p>\n

Tuesday, March 16<\/h4>\n

NCAA Championship Basketball Tournament<\/strong> (CBS \u2013 Available in HD) – The tourney begins and runs through April 5th<\/p>\n

Justified<\/strong> (9 pm on FX \u2013 Available in HD) \u2013 New series about U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens, a lawman enforcing his brand of justice to put a target on his back with criminals and puts him at odds with his bosses in the Marshal service.<\/p>\n

Love Games: Bad Girls Need Love Too<\/strong>  (10pm on Oxygen) \u2013 Another new realityTV show<\/p>\n

Marriage Under Construction<\/strong> (10pm on HGTV \u2013 Available in HD) \u2013 New series where newlyweds, Natalie and Rod share the challenge of buying a house and making it a place to call home. With the help of up-and-coming designer the couple decorates and renovates their home.<\/p>\n

Addicted<\/strong> (9pm on TLC \u2013 Available in HD) \u2013 A new 1-hour docu-series following the lives of individuals struggling with addiction as they work with interventionist<\/p>\n

South Park<\/strong>  (10pm on Comedy) \u2013 Season 14 premieres<\/p>\n

Ugly Americans<\/strong> (9:30pm on Comedy) \u2013 A new animated series with New York overrun with zombies attempting to assimilate into society alongside humans<\/p>\n
