The guarantee was internally approved, an industry source tells G.E.R., given certain conditions are met.<span id=\"more-6980\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>To attract renewable energy developers to Illinois <a href=\"http:\/\/www.renewableenergyworld.com\/rea\/news\/article\/2010\/03\/illinois-green-energy-finance-initiative\" >last year IFA established a $3 billion loan guarantee program<\/a> to support wind projects and other renewable energy initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>The state agency is currently reviewing applications for 750 megawatts of wind projects, our source tells us.
