{"id":430627,"date":"2010-03-15T09:30:00","date_gmt":"2010-03-15T13:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"e2249889-c78b-43e3-9643-b1d7d4aa587b:408002"},"modified":"2010-03-15T09:30:00","modified_gmt":"2010-03-15T13:30:00","slug":"momentous-investor-day-for-encana-expected","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/430627","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Momentous&#8217; investor day for EnCana expected"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Something &quot;momentous&quot; is expected to happen at when <a href=\"http:\/\/www.financialpost.com\/markets\/company\/index.html?symbol=ECA&amp;id=3659134\" >EnCana Corp.<\/a> hosts its investor day in Calgary on Tuesday, with one analyst predicting a new natural gas play to be introduced.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;As signaled on its year end conference call, we believe it is likely that EnCana will reveal another emerging natural gas play,&quot; Greg Pardy with RBC Capital Markets said in a note to clients. &quot;The whereabouts remain unknown, but we would wager western Canada.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>The company currently holds US$4.3-billion in cash and equivalents, with the potential for anywhere from US$ 500-million to US$1.5-billion worth of investment opportunities in the pipeline, Mr. Pardy said.<\/p>\n<p>He also expects EnCana to cut its Henry Hub natural gas price, which is at US$6.50 per thousand cubic feet, by as much as US$1\/mcf.
