Well \u2013 not exactly, but EPA does realize that \u201cTexas sized <a rel=\"nofollow\"  href=\"http:\/\/blogs.edf.org\/texaswatersolutions\/files\/2010\/03\/Leaking%20Pipe1.jpg\"><\/a>saving\u201d equals a lot of water!!! Across the country, household leaks are wasting more than 1<a rel=\"nofollow\"  href=\"http:\/\/blogs.edf.org\/texaswatersolutions\/files\/2010\/03\/6946leaking_pipe.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-88\" style=\"margin:10px;\" title=\"Leaking Pipe\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.edf.org\/texaswatersolutions\/files\/2010\/03\/6946leaking_pipe-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\"\/><\/a> trillion gallons of water per year\u2014enough water to supply every home in Texas with its annual water needs. Fixing leaks are a great place to start saving water. \u201cEasy-to-fix leaks in the average American home waste enough water each year to fill a backyard swimming pool,\u201d said Peter Silva, assistant administrator for EPA\u2019s Office of Water. That\u2019s why March 15-21 is Fix a Leak week.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow\"  href=\"http:\/\/www.epa.gov\/watersense\/water_efficiency\/dallas_fix_a_leak.html\">Dallas<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow\"  href=\"http:\/\/www.saws.org\/conservation\/programs\/homeaudit.shtml\">San Antonio<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow\"  href=\"http:\/\/http:\/\/www.ci.austin.tx.us\/watercon\/default.htm\">Austin\u00a0<\/a>and Laredo are already participating in the program. If your city isn\u2019t one of these, just check out the <a rel=\"nofollow\"  href=\"http:\/\/www.epa.gov\/watersense\/water_efficiency\/howto.html\">list of things<\/a> you can do on your own. A quick trip to Home Depot could save you some cash on your monthly water bill.
