Georgia<\/span> has been in a state of panic after its Imedi television network broadcast a mock play-out of a scenario in which the country<\/a> suffers a blitz military<\/a> invasion from Russia<\/a> and its President Mikhail Saakashvili is physically eliminated.<\/span><\/p>\n

Many people took the show for real and started packing.<\/span> <\/span>The development is not without a reaction in Russia<\/a>. The Lower House\u2019s foreign affairs head Konstantin Kosachov calls attention to the fact that the once opposition Imedi channel is now controlled by Saakashvili <\/span>and has apparently been used for staging a deliberate provocation.<\/span><\/p>\n

He also suspects a design to replay the latest South Caucasus war<\/a>, in which the Saakashvili regime tried but failed to forcefully repossess South Ossetia.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Mr Kosachov, Russia<\/a> is going to raise the matter on international security bodies. <\/span><\/span>In August 2008, Georgia launched a sudden assault on the South Ossetian capital Tskhinval. <\/span><\/p>\n
