It was every businessperson\u2019s nightmare.<\/p>\n

Arriving at Harv\u2019s Metro Car Wash<\/strong> in midtown Wednesday afternoon were two dark-suited IRS agents demanding payment of delinquent taxes. \u201cThey were deadly serious, very aggressive, very condescending,\u201d says Harv\u2019s owner, Aaron Zeff<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The really odd part of this: The letter that was hand-delivered to Zeff\u2019s on-site manager showed the amount of money<\/a> owed to the feds was \u2026 4 cents.<\/p>\n

Inexplicably, penalties and taxes accruing on the debt<\/a> \u2013 stemming from the 2006 tax year \u2013 were listed as $202.31, leaving Harv\u2019s with an obligation of $202.35.<\/p>\n

Zeff, who also owns local parking lots and is the president of the Midtown Business Association<\/strong>, finds the situation a bit comical.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s hilarious,\u201d he says, \u201cthat two people hopped in a car and came down here for just 4 cents. I think (the IRS) may have a problem with priorities.\u201d<\/p>\n
