{"id":435415,"date":"2010-03-16T18:51:17","date_gmt":"2010-03-16T22:51:17","guid":{"rendered":"tag:www.mindhacks.com:\/\/260e58688017ecede5afe88239492a59"},"modified":"2010-03-16T18:51:17","modified_gmt":"2010-03-16T22:51:17","slug":"a-very-historical-madness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/435415","title":{"rendered":"A very historical madness"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" align=\"left\" class=\"left\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mindhacks.com\/blog\/files\/2010\/03\/madness_carving.jpg\" width=\"126\" height=\"145\" \/><i>H-Madness<\/i> is a fantastic new <a href=\"http:\/\/historypsychiatry.wordpress.com\/\">blog<\/a> on the history of madness written by professional historians with a clear passion for their work.<\/p>\n<p>Although aimed at &#8220;university and college faculty, students, and independent researchers&#8221; it is written in a striaghtforward style and includes original articles, book and film reviews, as well as news about academic publications, events and talks.<\/p>\n<p>There are occasionally posts in French or German, which, to be honest, I find a bit annoying as I can&#8217;t read them and they often look very interesting, although you&#8217;ll often find an English translation just below.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a great read and makes a fine compliment to existing high quality history sites like the <i>Advances in the History of Psychology<\/i> <a href=\"http:\/\/ahp.apps01.yorku.ca\/\">blog<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dictionaryofneurology.com\/\"><i>The Neuro Times<\/i><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/historypsychiatry.wordpress.com\/\">Link<\/a> to <i>H-Madness<\/i> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.somatosphere.net\/2010\/03\/h-madness-new-blog-on-history-of.html\">via<\/a> <i>Somatosphere<\/i>).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>H-Madness is a fantastic new blog on the history of madness written by professional historians with a clear passion for their work.
