Suzuki’s boss says that the company isn’t going to build a cheap car to rival the Tata Nano in developing countries, despite facing a big threat in one of its largest markets. The Tata Nano is offering Indian car shoppers a cheaper option other than Suzuki and its partner Maruti, who together control 50 percent of the market.<\/p>\n

Company boss Osamu Suzuki says that a cheaper car than the models it currently offers \u201cwouldn\u2019t be a car any more\u201d.<\/p>\n

Suzuki said he is worried about losing the safety and comfort standards in a super-cheap model.<\/p>\n

Suzuki will soon offer hybrids, diesels and electric cars in emerging markets with its new partner, Volkswagen.<\/p>\n
