Bill Ackman Might Make Even MORE Money From Commercial Real Estate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"float_right\" src=\"http:\/\/static.businessinsider.com\/image\/4ba0c3f77f8b9a5001a80200-400-\/chart.png\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Chart\" width=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It looks like Bill Ackman could make even more money off of his astute General Growth bet on commercial real estate.<\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s already made past skeptics look pretty foolish as shown by the chart to the right.<\/p>\n<p>Now it&#8217;s just becoming overkill:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/hostednews\/ap\/article\/ALeqM5hZb5L7DNTi3hKVVpXra86u9R7HUwD9EG1M3O1\">Associated Press:<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Simon sent a letter to General Growth this week saying it anticipates boosting its offer above that of a proposal put forth by General Growth and three of its largest stakeholders, the people said on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter publicly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">That means a new Simon offer would have to value General Growth above $15 a share. Simon&#8217;s initial offer valued the Chicago-based company at about $9 a share.<\/p>\n<p>Keep in mind he picked up his shares at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/see-how-bill-ackman-made-complete-fools-out-of-commercial-real-estate-bears-like-hovde-capital-2010-2\">$1.31<\/a>, which means that if he gets more than $15, then he&#8217;s looking at more than a ten-bagger.
