What you won’t see on TV on Thursday is the DWP special meeting on rate hikes. Cityview Ch. 35 officials say they don’t intend to broadcast the meeting live and don’t know when they will run it, if ever. <\/p>\n

It will be on Cityfone 213-621-2489 at 12:30 p.m. though it would be great if you could go in person to 111 North Hope St. and give them an earful.<\/p>\n

Click here<\/a> for the agenda, which went up Tuesday, not 72 hours in advance as required. The commission canceled its last two meetings but is using the ruse that since it’s a special meeting, they only need 24 hours notice. <\/p>\n

Such is the respect for the rule of law and the spirit of the law you might expect from the DWP and City Hall.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
