This becomes clear when robust and sometimes bulky blanks have to be clamped to face plates, for example. Human biceps are often not enough,” explains Johann Taglang, Head of Engineering at Röhm.

For this reason, Röhm GmbH has developed a series of clamping jaws with heavy-duty spindles which facilitate clamping on face plates with multi-jaw systems. Following the simple manual adjustment of the jaws, the tight tension release is carried out by a wedge gear that is integrated in the individual jaws and can be reached easily via an inner hexagon. The gear has two speeds. Thus the jaws are closed first with large stroke and small force to roughly adjust the blank in order to subsequently fix it in place using a small stroke and large clamping force.
Röhm GmbH from Sontheim an der Brenz is a pioneer and trendsetter in this field. With technically mature clamping equipment – from the smallest drill chuck through rotating chucks, compact clamps, state-of-the-art clamping systems to high-tech clamping equipment and a large potential in the field of custom-made designs – the experts from Southern Germany support production companies and specialist retailers all over the world.
Johann Taglang: “The positioning, supporting and clamping demands made on workpiece clamping systems are growing all the time. To be able to continue the production at a high-quality level but remain economical, high-precision clamping solutions such as mechanical heavy-duty spindles (MKS) are required.

The Röhm clamping jaws with MKS are available in the sizes 65 mm, 80 mm, 100 mm, 120 mm, 160 mm and 200 mm. This means that a total clamping force of up to 2,000 kN can be achieved on a respective face plate using four clamping jaws. The clamping torque required is only 180 Nm, however.

When “biceps” are no longer enough Straightforward manual clamping of sturdy blanks With a series of clamping jaws with heavy-duty spindles, the clamping technology specialist Röhm from Sontheim an der Brenz/Germany, has just what you need for the manual clamping of sturdy blanks on face plates – without a great deal of force being needed […]

[7

post-441985","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news
["GET
