What&#8217;s known is that debt-financing supporting the acquisition was arranged by Mizuho Corporate Bank, Banco Espirito Santo, Bayerische Landesbank, Commerzbank, HSH Nordbank and ING Capital.<span id=\"more-7078\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Gulf Wind project is located on the Texas Gulf Coast in Kenedy County and most of the plant&#8217;s output has been contracted by unnamed buyers under long-term power purchase agreements, according to a press release posted yesterday on the Pattern Website &#8212; <a href=\"http:\/\/feedproxy.google.com\/~r\/GreenEnergyReporter\/~3\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/2010-0317-PSR-GulfWindAcquisition.pdf\">see  here for the full press release<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s Babcock &amp; Brown, once a high-flying infrastructure investor, was hammered by the global financial crisis and liquidated last year after being shut down by its creditors.\u00a0 Since then the bankrupt firm has\u00a0 been offloading its renewable energy assets.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/greenenergyreporter.com\/2009\/12\/fpl-renewable-energy-sub-acquires-three-wind-farms-from-babcock-brown\/\" >Last December FPL Group\u2019s clean energy unit, NextEra Energy Resources<\/a>, completed a $352 million acquisition of\u00a0three operating wind farms located in Texas, Wisconsin and South Dakota from Babcock &amp; Brown.<\/p>\n<p>Pattern Energy, which is less than a year old,\u00a0controls nearly 400 megawatts of wind projects that are either in operation or under construction across North America.
