To sex it up, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/templates\/story\/story.php?storyId=124503824\">the city held an online contest to design a new package<\/a>, 15,000 voters got in on the action, and of course, one hot symbol nailed it.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nyc.gov\/html\/doh\/html\/condoms\/condoms.shtml\">The condom design that came out on top?<\/a> The international sign for the power button. Six million of these limited-edition rubbers will hit the roads of New York City, turning on sex lives and (hopefully) powering down overpopulation.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>After all, New Yorkers are all about power: power shopping, power<br \/>\n trips, and now &#8230; power condoms. But if the city runs out of these rubbers, will the residents pitch tents outside city hall in protest?
