From a women&#39;s group which claim to have placed Mali as a power in the cloth dying industry, to artists who have decided to make Bamako or mud dyed cloths their medium, to the touristic industry that has grown around this art.<\/p>\n<p>First, via <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.craftzine.com\/archive\/2010\/03\/bamako_chic_women_cloth.html\">Craft:<\/a> we learned of a recent fundraising activity Maureen Gosling organized to assist her in finishing her <a href=\"http:\/\/www.maureengosling.com\/bamako\/pages\/index.html\">documentary about the women cloth dyers of Bamako<\/a> (Mali&#39;s capital city).\u00a0 In this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=u0LEO7o6zAk\">video preview<\/a>, the women dyers speak about the importance their dyed cloth has in Mali and how working with it has impacted their lives:<\/p>\n<p><object classid=\"clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000\" width=\"425\" height=\"344\" codebase=\"http:\/\/download.macromedia.com\/pub\/shockwave\/cabs\/flash\/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0\"><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\" \/><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\" \/><param name=\"src\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/u0LEO7o6zAk&amp;hl=es_ES&amp;fs=1&amp;color1=0x234900&amp;color2=0x4e9e00\" \/><param name=\"allowfullscreen\" value=\"true\" \/><embed type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" width=\"425\" height=\"344\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/u0LEO7o6zAk&amp;hl=es_ES&amp;fs=1&amp;color1=0x234900&amp;color2=0x4e9e00\" allowscriptaccess=\"always\" allowfullscreen=\"true\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n<p>Another traditional textile  is the mudcloth.
