When an airport is as good as Singapore’s Changi<\/a>, no one minds a lengthy stopover.<\/p>\n

Foreign transport agencies seem to understand this in a way that the people designing U.S. airports just don’t. (Except maybe JetBlue’s new terminal at JFK.)<\/p>\n

The Airports Council International<\/a> has passengers vote for the world’s five best airports on the basis of customer service, the terminal buildings, security and comfortable waiting areas.<\/p>\n

Skytrax has its own ranking as well for the best airports and the two lists coincide well.<\/p>\n

For the past few years, airports in the Asia-Pacific have consistently ranked within the top three. Skytrax gives Singapore’s Changi five stars out of five, but other hubs are keeping the competition interesting.<\/p>\n
