{"id":454106,"date":"2010-03-21T06:14:02","date_gmt":"2010-03-21T10:14:02","guid":{"rendered":"tag:www.vegan-food.net:\/\/c3e501c33c855ad44945a5166d785b1d"},"modified":"2010-03-21T06:14:02","modified_gmt":"2010-03-21T10:14:02","slug":"stamp-and-go-soy-tofu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/454106","title":{"rendered":"Stamp and Go( Soy &#8211; Tofu )"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Daily Random Recipe<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul><UL><\/p>\n<li>1\/2 lb \/ 225 g tofu, frozen, thawed and squeezed dry\n<li>1\/2 medium onion, finely chopped\n<li>2 scallions, chopped\n<li>1 hot pepper, seeded and finely chopped\n<li>1\/4 cup tomatoes, skinned seeded and chopped\n<li>2 cloves garlic, crushed and finely chopped\n<li>1 1\/2 cups whole wheat flour\n<li>1 t baking powder\n<li>1 1\/2 cups cornmeal\n<li>About 1\/2 t salt\n<li>1\/2 t dried thyme\n<li>Some water\n<li>Oil for frying <\/UL><\/ul>\n<p \/><strong>METHOD:<\/strong><br \/>Soak the tofu about 2 hours or overnight in lightly salted water. Squeeze dry again and finely chop before using. <\/p>\n<p>\nSaute the onion, scallions, hot pepper, tomatoes and garlic until the onion is transparent. <\/p>\n<p>\nSift together the flour, baking powder and add the cornmeal, salt, thyme, tofu and sauteed vegetables. Add enough water to make a soft, sticky batter. <\/p>\n<p>\nHeat up a skillet with about 1\/4 inch \/ 7 mm oil. Drop mixture by spoonfuls into hot oil in a shallow skillet.
