<\/br> The warm, sunny weather enjoyed by Southern Californians on Saturday — the first day of spring — is expected to return Sunday in time for the Los Angeles Marathon.<\/p>\n

Although fog is forecast along the coast early Sunday morning, the clouds should begin to burn off by the time the fastest runners arrive in Santa Monica around 9:30 a.m., said Bill Hoffer, a spokesman for the National Weather Service in Oxnard.<\/a><\/p>\n

Overnight low temperatures are expected to be in the 50s, and the mercury should climb to the 70s by the afternoon.\n<\/p>\n

Protected by a ridge of high pressure, Southern Californians basked in balmy temperatures Saturday, with a high of 74 in Long Beach, 80 in Burbank, 81 in downtown Los Angeles, 83 in Santa Ana, 84 in Pasadena and 90 in Riverside.\n<\/p>\n
