John Lewis (photo: talknewsradio via Flickr)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Nancy Pelosi has done what effective Speakers of the House do, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/huff-wires\/20100321\/us-health-care-overhaul\/\">obtained the votes to pass<\/a> the version of health, nay, insurance, nay some version of alleged &#8220;reform&#8221; through the House.\u00a0 And she did it with <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gallagher_%28comedian%29\">Gallagher&#8217;s mallet<\/a> too, which was a nice touch &#8212; I do so love seeing John Boehner covered in watermelon rind.\u00a0 That shade of red compliments orange. And like Gallagher, Boehner has the unfunny clown thing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.talkingpointsmemo.com\/archives\/2010\/03\/boehner-mentum.php?ref=fpblg\">totally down<\/a> &#8212; in fact, there&#8217;s an infamous <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0068451\/\">Jerry Lewis film<\/a> crying out for his special talents.<\/p>\n<p>So, I guess this is a great day for patriotism, or centrism, or capitalism, or corporatism, or fascism, or socialism, or Marxism, or fanaticism, or fatalism, or perhaps listening to the self-congratulating\u00a0 just jism.
