{"id":458680,"date":"2010-03-22T14:02:49","date_gmt":"2010-03-22T18:02:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/washingtonindependent.com\/?p=79989"},"modified":"2010-03-22T14:02:49","modified_gmt":"2010-03-22T18:02:49","slug":"poll-democrats-recover-some-of-their-health-care-polling-lead-over-the-gop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/458680","title":{"rendered":"Poll: Democrats Recover Some of Their Health Care Polling Lead Over the GOP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Republicans (see <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/Senate_GOPs\/status\/10881370708\">here<\/a>) are pushing a <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/aS3Yab\">CNN poll<\/a> that has opposition to health care reform legislation running to 59 percent. Two things I noticed, however, that hint at the sub rosa worries some conservatives have about this.<\/p>\n<p>First, that high opposition number is split &#8212; only 43 percent of people say they oppose the bill because it&#8217;s &#8220;too liberal,&#8221; while 13 percent say it&#8217;s &#8220;not liberal enough.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Second, I see that since December, Democrats have gained a little ground &#8212; within the margin of error &#8212; on the question of which party voters &#8220;trust more to handle major changes in the country&#8217;s health care system.&#8221; A three-point lead has become a six-point lead.<span id=\"more-79989\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-79993\" title=\"Picture 21\" src=\"http:\/\/washingtonindependent.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/Picture-21.png\" alt=\"Picture 21\" width=\"451\" height=\"165\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s really anybody&#8217;s guess what happens to these numbers now &#8212; GOP strategist Patrick Ruffini, in a bit of expectation-setting, predicts that President Obama&#8217;s approval numbers will soon rise to 58 or 59 percent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Republicans (see here) are pushing a CNN poll that has opposition to health care reform legislation running to 59 percent.
