Unfortunately, Harding apparently didn&#8217;t get the message himself.  As pointed out by <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/mathewi\/statuses\/5863527273\" >Mathew Ingram<\/a>, just days after making the case for paying for news, The Times <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/media\/mediamonkeyblog\/2009\/nov\/19\/edgar-wright-the-times\" >has been accused of publishing an article that it copied without permission from a blog<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>You can&#8217;t make this stuff up.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, just as Rupert Murdoch is calling aggregators (sites that simply summarize and link to stories) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.techdirt.com\/articles\/20091108\/2223416852.shtml\">parasites<\/a> (even as he <a href=\"http:\/\/www.techdirt.com\/articles\/20091111\/0049546883.shtml\">owns<\/a> a bunch of aggregators himself), one of his papers didn&#8217;t <i>aggregate<\/i>, it flat out copied, without permission, a blog post that was written by Edgar Wright as a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.edgarwrighthere.com\/2009\/11\/edward-woodward-1930-2009\/\" >tribute to Edward Woodward<\/a>, who recently passed away.
