In a speech before members of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee on Monday, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton warned that the Netanyahu government\u2019s plan to construct new settlements in East Jerusalem \u201cundermines mutual trust\u201d between Israel and the U.S. This strain of admonition apparently hasn\u2019t hit its intended audience with enough force to compel it to change its plans, however. \u2014KA BBC: In her speech to a convention in Washington of the influential Aipac (American Israel Public Affairs Committee), Mrs Clinton underscored the Obama administration\u2019s \u201crock solid\u201d commitment to Israel. \u201cGuaranteeing Israel\u2019s security is more than a policy position for me.
