DVD sales for <em>The Twilight Saga: New Moon<\/em>  on their way to beating out those of the original <em>Twilight<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.popcrunch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/twilight-new-moon-nude-scene-500x332.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"twilight-new-moon-nude-scene\" width=\"500\" height=\"332\" class=\"alignright size-large wp-image-81405\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the sensational teen vampire franchise, reported  that the DVD of the second installment in the series has sold more than 4 million units since going on sale at 12:01 AM Saturday, surpassing the 3.8 million opening-weekend sales that the first T<em>wilight<\/em> racked up last year.<\/p>\n<p>That film went on to become the top-selling DVD of the year, with 9.2 million copies sold.<\/p>\n<p>The third installment in <em>The Twilight Saga, Eclipse<\/em>, hits theaters in North America on June 30.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/feedads.g.doubleclick.net\/~a\/c2iu2ta8MyekJJQhvC0UfDLb_W8\/0\/da\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/feedads.g.doubleclick.net\/~a\/c2iu2ta8MyekJJQhvC0UfDLb_W8\/0\/di\" border=\"0\" ismap=\"true\"><\/img><\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/feedads.g.doubleclick.net\/~a\/c2iu2ta8MyekJJQhvC0UfDLb_W8\/1\/da\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/feedads.g.doubleclick.net\/~a\/c2iu2ta8MyekJJQhvC0UfDLb_W8\/1\/di\" border=\"0\" ismap=\"true\"><\/img><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Twi-Hards have outdone themselves.
