The program focuses on specific research topics in geospatial-intelligence analysis and its related technologies. This includes research to help improve analyst abilities as well as to provide better automated capabilities in the analyst environment. The NURI program awards multi-year grants to address NGA\u2019s needs.<strong> <\/strong>The objective of the FY10 NURI program is to enhance the capabilities of U.S. universities to perform research in topics that are important for geospatial intelligence and, in conjunction with that research, provide opportunities for participation in related science and engineering areas that are important for U.S. national security.
