He was unbelievable. We probably have to start him. He&#8217;s playing too good.<br \/>\nWe&#8217;ve been in a situation here, where you&#8217;re trying to evaluate players.<br \/>\n But at some point, you have to still evaluate, but you have to reward<br \/>\nthe guys that are doing things and producing in a limited time and give<br \/>\nthem the minutes.&quot;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p> The obvious candidate for the bench is <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/4480\/\">JaVale<br \/>\nMcGee<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/4480\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.4480\">(notes)<\/a>,<\/span> since <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3975\/\">Andray Blatche<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3975\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.3975\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> apparently <a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/news?slug=aw-blatchewizards032410&amp;prov=yhoo&amp;type=lgns\">can<br \/>\n do no wrong<\/a>. In the 10 games where he&#8217;s seen at least 25 minutes of<br \/>\n playing time with the Wizards, Singleton has averaged 8.8 points, 9.5<br \/>\nboards, and 1.6 blocks. He certainly becomes a player of interest in all<br \/>\n formats as a starter &#8211; his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/s\/singlja01.html\">career per-36s<\/a> include 10.6 points, 0.4 threes, 10.1 boards, 1.1 steals, and 1.4 blocks. McGee&#8217;s inconsistent fantasy contributions don&#8217;t<br \/>\nfigure to improve in a reserve role, and he&#8217;s largely expendable at this<br \/>\n point. <\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&bull;<\/strong> <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3936\/\">Andrew Bynum<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3936\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.3936\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> (Achilles) is apparently <a href=\"http:\/\/lakers.freedomblogging.com\/2010\/03\/24\/andrew-bynum-could-still-return-within-a-week\/32287\/\">feeling better<\/a> but it still appears that he&#8217;s going to be out another week or so. Phil Jackson was fairly non-committal when it came to projecting an early return to the active roster. <\/p>\n<p><strong>&bull;<\/strong> <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3708\/\">Dwyane Wade<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3708\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.3708\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> (quad), <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3120\/\">Jermaine O&#8217;Neal<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3120\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.3120\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> (ankle), and <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3765\/\">Udonis Haslem<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3765\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.3765\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> (ankle) all were at least partial participants in the Heat&#8217;s Wednesday practice and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sun-sentinel.com\/sports\/miami-heat\/sfl-miami-heat-chicago-bulls-s032410,0,760074.story\">expect to be active<\/a> on Thursday.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p><a name=\"remaining-content\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>&bull;<\/strong> <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3347\/\">Andrei Kirilenko<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3347\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.3347\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> (calf) played it safe Wednesday but expects to be <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sltrib.com\/jazz\/ci_14752680\">back in the lineup on Friday<\/a>. We won&#8217;t know for sure until game-time, however. <\/p>\n<p><strong>&bull; <\/strong><span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/4564\/\">Tyreke Evans<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/4564\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.4564\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> (concussion) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sacbee.com\/2010\/03\/25\/2632193\/evans-sets-his-sights-on-a-friday.html\">will practice<\/a> with the Kings Thursday and, if all goes well, he&#8217;s expected to be active on Friday. In his first game back, Ilgauskas played 17 minutes (1 point, 3 boards) while Hickson played 26 (20 points, 9 boards). <\/p>\n<p><strong>&bull;<\/strong> <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/4325\/\">Marc Gasol<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/4325\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.4325\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> (neck) is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.commercialappeal.com\/news\/2010\/mar\/24\/golden-state-cruises-easy-win-against-memphis-griz\/\">targeting Sunday<\/a> for his return.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p><strong>&bull;<\/strong> <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/4616\/\">Terrence Williams<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/4616\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.4616\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> hopes to play Friday but he&#8217;s due for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nypost.com\/p\/sports\/nets\/gr_eight_night_HFavE17rAqtYTHqsNflm7N\">more tests<\/a> on his foot and ankle Thursday:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>&quot;The MRI said I need a CAT scan. A little piece fell off in my foot but I<br \/>\n could have played [Wednesday].&quot;I was running in my house [so I]<br \/>\nhopefully try to play [Friday].&quot;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>I have no idea what the phrase &quot;a little piece fell off in my foot&quot; means, but he certainly doesn&#8217;t sound concerned with the extent of the injury. <\/p>\n<p><strong>&bull;<\/strong> <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3415\/\">Hedo Turkoglu<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3415\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.3415\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> played just 19 minutes Wednesday because of <a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/news?slug=ap-raptors-turkogluout\">a stomach illness<\/a> and is day-to-day. <\/p>\n<p><strong>&bull;<\/strong> There&#8217;s nothing to read into the Bucks&#8217; minutes distribution Wednesday &#8211; like <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3927\/\">Andrew Bogut<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/3927\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.3927\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> only getting 20 &#8211; other than it was a bad night for the team all around. They were down to the 76ers by five after one quarter, by 13 after two, and by 18 after three. <\/p>\n<p><strong>&bull;<\/strong> <span class=\"ysp-player\"><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/4563\/\">James Harden<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/nba\/players\/4563\/news\" class=\"ysp_playernote_icon\" id=\"ysp_playernote_nba.p.4563\">(notes)<\/a><\/span> was big in his first game back from a hamstring injury (26 minutes, 23 points, 3 treys, 2 steals, 1 block) but it was a blowout win and the Rockets went small, perfect conditions for his sixth man role.
