{"id":471959,"date":"2010-03-25T16:33:07","date_gmt":"2010-03-25T20:33:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.popcrunch.com\/?p=98249"},"modified":"2010-03-25T16:33:07","modified_gmt":"2010-03-25T20:33:07","slug":"showtime-renews-%e2%80%9cnurse-jackie%e2%80%9d-%e2%80%9cunited-states-of-tara%e2%80%9d","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mereja.media\/index\/471959","title":{"rendered":"Showtime Renews \u201cNurse Jackie\u201d &amp; \u201cUnited States of Tara\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Showtime dark comedies <em>Nurse Jackie<\/em> and <em>United States of Tara<\/em> have picked up third season orders from the popular cable network.<\/p>\n<p>Both small screen hits, which star award-winning actresses Edie Falco (<em>Nurse Jackie<\/em>) and Toni Collette (<em>Tara<\/em>), were renewed by Showtime on Thursday after their second season premieres debuted to healthy ratings and positive reviews earlier in the week.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/style.popcrunch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/Nurse-Jackie-Renewed-For-Third-Season.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15037\" title=\"NURSE JACKIE\" src=\"http:\/\/style.popcrunch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/Nurse-Jackie-Renewed-For-Third-Season.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"233\" height=\"340\" \/><\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/style.popcrunch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/Tara-Returns-To-Showtime-For-Third-Season.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15038\" title=\"Tara Returns To Showtime For Third Season\" src=\"http:\/\/style.popcrunch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/03\/Tara-Returns-To-Showtime-For-Third-Season.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"230\" height=\"340\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-98249\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Showtime is enormously proud of these two series starring two of the best actresses working today,&#8221; <\/em>say Showtime President of Entertainment Robert Greenblatt.<\/p>\n<p>The  half-hour comedy series have each received 12 episode orders and will go into production later in the year.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Both are iconic shows for our brand and our thanks to the dedicated producers, cast and crews who work so hard to make them so great,<\/em>&#8221; Greenblatt added. <em>&#8220;Edie Falco&#8217;s portrayal of the fierce Jackie is another extraordinary example of her range and brilliance, and recent Emmy and Golden Globe wins for Toni Collette in her tour de force role as a woman with multiple personalities put her in a class by herself.
