India and Bangladesh had argued over who owned the island for 30 years. \u201cWhat these two countries could not achieve from years of talking, has been resolved by global warming,\u201d said oceanographer Sugata Hazra, a professor at Jadavpur University in Calcutta (Associated Press, 2010).
