Pat Quinn as the agency&#8217;s top<br \/>\nadministrator.<\/p>\n<p>Kristi Lafleur, Quinn&#8217;s deputy chief of staff for economic<br \/>\ndevelopment, was named to the $189,000-a-year post.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The top job at the tollway has been filled on an acting basis since<br \/>\nsoon after former Gov. Rod Blagojevich was arrested by federal officials<br \/>\n in December 2008.<em><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><\/em><br \/>\n                  Lafleur is also Quinn&#8217;s point person for development of high-speed<br \/>\nrail. Her selection came from a group of five finalists by a search<br \/>\ncommittee of tollway directors. Her appointment becomes official after a<br \/>\n vote at the April tollway board meeting. <\/p>\n<p>The other candidates included Richard Kwasneski, Pace&#8217;s chairman and<br \/>\ndirector of the Joliet Arsenal Development Authority; Leanne Redden, deputy executive director<br \/>\n for the Regional Transportation Authority and former planner for the<br \/>\ntollway; and Jerry Hurckes, a grant manager for Metra, and former aide<br \/>\nto U.S. Rep. Dan Lipinski, D-Ill.<\/p>\n<p>Matthew Amorello was the only nonlocal candidate.
