A Dublin judge has ordered His Purpleness, now 51, to pay Irish concert promoters up to $2.95 million for pulling out of a concert in the eleventh hour. <span id=\"more-98312\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>High Court Justice Peter Kelly ruled that Prince entered a deal with Dublin promoters MCD Productions Ltd. to perform in Dublin&#8217;s 82,300-seat Croke Park in June 2008, but withdrew just days beforehand &#8212; this after 55,000 tickets had already been sold.<\/p>\n<p>Prince offered no explanation for the cancellation. MCD, Ireland\u2019s biggest concert organizers, said it had paid Prince half of his demanded $3 million fee up front, another $950,000 to book the venue, and advertised the concert aggressively.<\/p>\n<p>Oddly enough, this follows news this week that Prince owes over $450,000 in state taxes in Minnesota.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/feedads.g.doubleclick.net\/~a\/PFNLsgFwuAOlEDieKItJFiuxWHg\/0\/da\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/feedads.g.doubleclick.net\/~a\/PFNLsgFwuAOlEDieKItJFiuxWHg\/0\/di\" border=\"0\" ismap=\"true\"><\/img><\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/feedads.g.doubleclick.net\/~a\/PFNLsgFwuAOlEDieKItJFiuxWHg\/1\/da\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/feedads.g.doubleclick.net\/~a\/PFNLsgFwuAOlEDieKItJFiuxWHg\/1\/di\" border=\"0\" ismap=\"true\"><\/img><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prince cashflow troubles just keep getting tighter.
