As such, some of the firm\u2019s show cars of the recent past, such as the 2005 Bionic Car or the 2007 <a href=\"http:\/\/admin.cdnew.hfmus.com\/news\/car\/07q3\/mercedes-benz_f700_concept-auto_shows\" >F700<\/a>, primarily must be interpreted as design exercises. But with Wagener taking the helm in mid-2008, the direction of Mercedes styling has been whittled down to some precisely defined, common themes.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-17629\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Indeed, the latest Mercedes concepts\u2014for example, the <a href=\"http:\/\/admin.cdnew.hfmus.com\/news\/car\/08q4\/mercedes-benz_concept_bluezero-auto_shows\" >BlueZero<\/a> and the somewhat presumptuously named <a href=\"http:\/\/admin.cdnew.hfmus.com\/news\/car\/10q1\/mercedes-benz_f800_style_concept-auto_shows\" >F800 Style<\/a>\u2014indicate more clearly where Wagener wants to take the brand.
